Bullying has reached epidemic proportions in today’s world, and nowhere is it felt more deeply than in the “tween” years - young people in the 9- to 12-year-old range. The reactions, the pain, and the hurt often mirror what adults feel when confronted with violence. Restorative Justice approaches have been proven more effective in responding to the needs of victims, offenders and communities and helping them on the path towards forgiveness, reconciliation and healing. This day of reflection workshop for groups of "tweens" can be used in its entirety, or in part for more limited time frames. It introduces youth to restorative justice concepts and the healing of relationships where bullying is an issue.
Development of this workshop funded by a grant from Our Sunday Visitor Institute.
