Holy Saturday Prayer Service

CMN's Holy Saturday Prayer Service is a way to explore one of the more profound - and underutilized - days of the liturgical year. Beginning from the darkness of Good Friday, this experiential prayer service invites participants to reflect on the role of harm in their own lives; and the lives of those impacted by the continued use of the death penalty and the larger criminal justice system. Written by Alexandra Carroll, M.T.S., Director of Communications at CMN, this prayer service lifts up Holy Saturday as an example of God's unceasing love and a source of hope for those looking for life after an experience of harm.

Included in this prayer service is a "Leader's Guide" with specific instructions and materials needed, as well as a "Participant's Packet" for each individual participating in the prayer service.
