On Friday, Dec. 1, CMN is partnering with the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC) to present a virtual Mass with the women on Texas’ death row, celebrated by Bishop Joe Vásquez.
This Mass provides a unique experience of solidarity and prayer with those on death row, a rare opportunity for many of us.

This Mass will take the place of CMN’s regularly scheduled First Friday Prayer Vigil, a monthly gathering to lament upcoming executions and bear witness to the inviolable dignity of all human life.
This offering is just a small part of a one-day, virtual conference hosted by CPMC. The conference, which takes on the theme “Restored by Compassion: Given & Received,” will provide a space for those of us working within and around the criminal legal system to find solidarity, share experiences, and draw strength from one another for the work ahead of us.
If you’re interested in attending the entire conference, you can learn more here.
