In January 2021, more than 1,000 people joined Catholic Mobilizing Network for its most popular webinar to date: “Five Lessons From Restorative Practices for the Synod on Synodality.” The webinar explored how practices from restorative justice could enrich the synod listening processes taking place in Catholic parishes and dioceses nationwide.
Now, one year deeper into this historic synod, CMN gathered for another look at how restorative practices can help us “enlarge the space of our tent” and navigate the polarities facing our Church and world.

About the Webinar
During “Growing in Restorative Practices: One Year Into the Synod on Synodality,” Fr. David McCallum, SJ and Dr. Vanessa White joined us to illuminate the joys, hopes, sufferings and wounds revealed throughout the Synod on Synodality's global listening sessions, and synthesized in “Enlarge the Space of Your Tent” — the 45-page working document released by the Vatican in November 2022.
Together, we continue on this synodal journey, guided by restorative practices, to deepen our engagement within this communal transformation of the Church.
